Making it Happen: Success with Guided Reading in Your Classroom
This could be K-6, K-3 or 3-6
As educators we strive to create and manage reading classrooms which cater to the needs of all our learners often with varying degrees of success. This session will examine ways of ensuring this success by providing an approach to teaching with guided reading as its core. Issues to be addressed will include: how to form groups, knowing when to move children into new groups, how to conduct the guided reading session and setting up learning engagements for the other children while guided reading is in progress.
