Content Area Literacy for Today's Youth (Gr. 6-12)

In this session, Dr. Bill Brozo will demonstrate a variety of engaging, proven strategies teacher leaders can employ for meeting the literacy and learning needs of students. The strategies he shares derive from successful school and classroom practices and are based on eight evidence-based principles of effective literacy. Teachers, literacy coaches and specialists will discover ways of integrating literacy across the curriculum and supporting struggling readers, with a focus on increasing engagement and competence for diverse students.
