Reaching Higher in Grades 3-8: Reading to Learn while Learning to Read

While we are reading we are learning to read. Picking out important ideas and vocabulary are important skills proficient readers use. This session will explore how to use students' personal reading materials, nonfiction resources and textbooks to teach them how to extend their reading process.
