Early Literacy

Reading and Writing Nonfiction (K-1)


Help young learners attain the skills they need to get the most from informational text. Learn strategies for helping children build concepts while developing their academic vocabulary and language. Support learners as they synthesize knowledge from a variety of sources and become authors of their own informational text. This session will provide participants with a wealth of practical ideas for making the classroom an exciting place where students see literacy as a vital tool for acquiring and sharing knowledge.
