Early Literacy

Kindergarten Literacy Learning through Research-Based Principles (K)

The findings of the National Reading Panel come alive through this child-centered approach to kindergarten. Phonemic awareness, phonics, fluency, vocabulary, comprehension plus writing instruction assure success. Young learners not only emerge as readers and writers, they retain their enthusiasm for learning that is forever the hallmark of a quality kindergarten program. Participants will leave this session equipped with a wealth of powerful hands-on, minds-on activities that cause young children to think deeply and creatively with little teacher preparation.
