Reciprocal Teaching

The National Reading Panel has put the stamp of approval on this technique for teaching comprehension! Students can learn techniques to assist them in becoming active readers while improving comprehension. Predicting, questioning, clarifying and summarizing will be used to instill in students the need to take charge of their reading to assure they understand the text.
