Target Grade Level: K-2, 3-5, 6-8


A framework for understanding a balanced language arts program

Experience more fun in your classroom! Participants will be introduced to a balanced language arts program, Cambourne's Conditions of Learning, and appropriate assessments to guide instruction. Specific strategies and activities for shared, guided and independent reading and writing will be practiced including: response logs and journals, small group strategy instruction, reciprocal teaching, read aloud and modeled writing.
